The 2023 recruiting class is in the books and here’s my ranking of the SEC classes.
1. Alabama
— The top class in the county has no weakness I can find.
2. Georgia
— Even without a QB this is the second best class not only in the SEC but in the country.
3. LSU
— Brian Kelly and that wonky accent will have no trouble luring talent. LSU has the best recruiting advantage in college football.
4. Tennessee
— Nico Iamaleava leads a strong class and I love the defense.

5. Texas A&M
— It looked bleak for a while, but Jimbo Fisher rallied with a really good class led by DT David Hicks Jr.

6. South Carolina
— Shane Beamer is on a roll and landing ATH Nyckoles Harbor sends a national message.

7. Florida
— This Gators class had some ups and downs but there are huge gets in here like DE Kelby Collins and a slew of good DBs.
8. Auburn
— Hugh Freeze did great work here and flipped players from FSU, Ohio State and others.

9. Arkansas
— It’s not a sexy class at all but it’s a Sam Pittman class. A lot of tough dudes in here.
10. Mississippi State
— This is a great class for dealing with such tragedy in losing Mike Leach.
11. Kentucky
— Not a huge fan of this class although the WR group looks great.

12. Ole Miss
— A small class and Lane Kiffin lost a ton of momentum with the Auburn rumors but there is talent here.
13. Missouri
— A few of the lower ranked guys in this class better pan out as it lacks star power.
14. Vanderbilt
— This is where I’d expect them to be, they just can’t compete in the SEC in recruiting.
