Hank Weber is still focusing on building relationships with college coaching staffs across the country, but some schools have left an impact on the defensive lineman early.
A group of schools has made Hank Weber a priority at this stage in his recruitment. When asked what schools have been in contact with him the most, Weber mentioned “North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Michigan State, West Virginia, and Auburn.” Weber is currently in the process of setting up visits but has one visit set up at the moment. “I do have a visit set up. West Virginia for sure. Then, a couple of maybes depending on transportation.“
He has formed a notable relationship with West Virginia defensive line coach Andrew Jackson.
“Coach Jackson is a cool guy. He’s pretty easy to talk to, and I like what they got going over there.”
Weber was able to visit North Carolina for their game against rival North Carolina State. “It was really cool. Everyone was super hospitable, and I really loved the environment. The game was packed during Thanksgiving break.” After a season that included an ACC Championship game appearance, Weber has noticed what Mack Brown is doing in Chapel Hill. “The program has a very promising future ahead.”
The Tar Heels’ defensive line coach, Tim Cross, has left an impression on Weber. “[My relationship with Coach Cross] has been a pretty cool one. The whole coaching staff has made me feel like a priority for them. The coaches on Chapel Hill are men I can see learning from not just on the field, but off of it as well.“

The defensive lineman was in attendance for Michigan State’s home game against Ohio State.
“The game was really fun, and the environment was great. The coaching staff was very hospitable, and I got to see what Coach [Mel] Tucker is about in the locker room after the game.“

Mississippi State and Ole Miss have left impressions on the lineman as well.
“Both have done really well in recruiting. I like both schools, but for different reasons, “I like Mississippi State because it’s an offer for the offensive line, which is pretty cool. I like Ole Miss because of the ridiculous support from their fanbase. Both have very solid programs.“

Another school to monitor here is Auburn, who has been in contact after the coaching change. “It’s been cool. It’s just started, so I’m excited to start building it,” said Weber on his budding relationship with the new staff.
It will be interesting to see how Weber’s recruitment continues to develop in the coming months. For now, the promising defensive lineman prospect has many great options, and will no doubt continue to gain interest as he bursts onto more program’s radars.
