We’ll keep the scouting reports rolling on top prospects from across the country.
Trey’Dez Green – TE
Jackson, LA (East Feliciana High School)
Two way player in high school who played WR and Safety that projects to become a Tight End at the next level. Also receiving D-1 offers for basketball. Very good height and weight in a muscular frame with elite arm length. Solid release out of 2-point stance, shows solid agility and upper body strength to force through press and maneuver through traffic. Good separation on linear routes on all levels of the field, good foot speed and acceleration to run away from linebackers and good core strength to keep pushing the line on vertical routes against DBs to generate larger throwing windows. Good separation on COD routes, uses solid agility and knee bend to sink his hips at the breaking point and cut open when leveraged. Elite ball skills at the catch point, extending and attacking the ball while using good play strength to box out defenders and bring in the ball with good dexterity. Knee bend and lateral agility indicate good zone blocking ability at his future position. Though he was rarely asked to block as a receiver he showed good competitiveness and strength to drive DBs through the whistle and should be able to position himself on angle and down blocks with solid quickness.
Separation against Zone coverage will be a learning curve as he was not asked to play inside and most of the times had to just beat his man on vertical, curls or flat concepts. Will need to show processing and vision to be able to find space underneath. Hand placement and timing as a blocker also needs to develop before becoming a regular contributor especially if he aligns as an H or Y beside an offensive tackle. Overall very good TE prospect who already brings a very good blend of athletic ability, strength and ball skills that should lead to him becoming a major weapon for an SEC offense once he gets the technical nuances of the position figured out.

Liam Andrews – OT
Brookline, MA (Dexter High School)
OT prospect who is receiving attention throughout the Big Ten and ACC. Solid height and adequate weight in a top heavy frame with strong arms. Very good initial quickness out of all his sets, very good quickness and lateral agility to beat edge rushers to the spot and use speed rushers momentum against them. Leads DL around the arc with good processing and technique. Good hand placement and punch strength, able to place his hands on the chest and control DEs through the whistle with good upper body strength and competitiveness. Good Zone blocker, able to get leverage off the snap with good quickness and understands where to place himself to create angles for his running back. Able to cross face on reach blocks easily due to very good acceleration and very good as a pull or lead blocker to second level. Finds his nearest threat in the open field with good vision and awareness and has the foot speed and balance to get to his block.
Adequate lower body strength leads to adequate knee bend especially when head up on a defensive linemen. Not able to build up his quickness and gets stalled against stronger defenders as his adequate knee bend does not allow for hips to snap through and gain more force from the ground on drive and power concepts. Adequate anchor against bigger DTs when they get their hands on his chest and gets moved backwards as he is used to controlling blocks with his sheer upper half power. Loses leverage on blocks when he’s unable to displace the defender’s hands. Good prospect who brings the necessary level of athleticism to be considered a good fit for the spacious zone schemes but need to add more mass to be reliable against the size of DL at the next level. Trust him to become a good starter for a power 5 zone run offense by his 3rd year.

Mylan Graham – WR
New Haven, IN (New Haven High School)
Received offers from every major SEC and Big Ten program. Adequate height and weight in slender frame with long arms and legs. Elite release off the snap, using elite acceleration and foot speed to eat ground in a hurry against Off coverage and attacks blind-spot off Zone technique DBs consistently with very good awareness. Very good separation quickness against Off coverage on vertical routes and speed cuts. Understands leverage and gets into his second gear to open up deep throwing windows. Good separation underneath on sharp cuts, throttling down with good balance and knee bend to sink his hips and explode out of his break with elite quickness and very good agility. Very good ball skills, showing good dexterity and ball tracking all around his frame to erase bad throws from his QB and showing very good concentration and ability to adjust his body to snag the ball while running full speed. Elite YAC ability, able to influence tackling and pursuit angles in the open field and constantly makes the first tackler miss on screens with very good agility and COD. Experience as a returner where he showed very good vision to go with his athletic ability.
Size and strength render him more of a gadget prospect right now as his adequate upper body strength will cause him to be forced laterally on his release against the bigger outside press corners in the SEC. Adequate lower body and core strength bring his separation against Man coverage into question. Defenders that can match his athletic gifts will be able to force him off his routes, especially verticals, resulting in reduced targeting areas. Overall very good WR prospect who brings a rare combination of athletic ability and vision to be considered a playmaker as a gadget receiver and returner situations early in his career while offering a high ceiling if he can max out his frame as he develops.

Jaylen Thompson – CB
Murfreesboro, TN (Riverdale High School)
CB prospect that is garnering interest from Big Ten and SEC programs. Good height and adequate weight in a powerful frame with strong upper half. Very good disruption in Press and Jam coverage at the line of scrimmage, uses good upper body strength and hand technique to disrupt timing and force smaller WRs into a lateral release. Good route recognition in Man coverage, able to key receivers’ hips with good processing and stay attached on deep routes with good foot speed. Very good concept recognition in Zone, understands leverage and reads his immediate threats with very good awareness and transitions from his backpedal to drive downfield with good quickness and balance. Very good ball skills, able to anticipate throwing windows and rhythm due to his WR background and shows very good timing and ball tracking to arrive in time at the catch point. Good hands to bring in possible interceptions. Very good open field tackler, utilizes his good core strength to add force on his tackle and provide a knock on smaller receivers while showing good competitive toughness and angle awareness in pursuit to provide sure tackling against shiftier ball-carriers.
Adequate Man and Zone coverage against shiftier receivers that can get leverage on him before the top of the route and rely on their shiftiness to separate due to his adequate agility and COD. Adequate catch up when opening up his hips pre-maturely as his adequate acceleration leaves throwing windows after the route breaks open on routes with sharp cuts. Good prospect who should be able to contribute in the right scheme early as his play strength and processing allow him to be effective when able to get his hands on route runners early. Brings some physical limitations in terms of COD that limits his ceiling and versatility.
