Names in the News

–4-star WR Karmello English, Central High School, Phenix City, Alabama.

Karmello English is the No. 172 overall, No. 24 wide receiver, and No. 14 player in Alabama and has named his top 5 schools. They are the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Jackson State Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats, and Michigan Wolverines. He had committed to the Tigers in July before backing off his pledge in September, but they are still in the mix. However, the Wolverines are the team to watch here as he took an official visit to Ann Arbor in June and was at the Big House on October 15 when they beat the Penn State Nittany Lions.

–3-star 2024 OL Holton Hendrix, Lubbock Cooper High School, Lubbock, Texas.

Holton Hendrix committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Sunday afternoon. He is the No. 361, No. 27 interior offensive lineman, and No. 63 player in Texas in the 2024 class. Hendrix chose the hometown school over offers from the Baylor Bears, Houston Cougars, and Kansas Jayhawks. He is the fourth commit in the Red Raiders 2024 class, is ranked No. 15, and is second in the Big 12.

100% COMMITTED!! STAYING HOME. WRECK ‘EM!! ??❤️? @TexasTechFB @FootballLCP @806hsscmedia @TTU247 pic.twitter.com/ACfFrp2fYk

Morgan Pearson is the No. 584 overall, No. 53 wide receiver, and No. 7 player in Oklahoma and committed to the Colorado Buffaloes on Monday afternoon. He chose them over the Iowa State Cyclones, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Michigan State Spartans, and Pittsburgh Panthers, among others. Pearson is the 20th commitment in the Buffalos’ class and is ranked No. 42 overall and fifth in the Pac-12.

– 4-star TE Walker Lyons, Folsom High School, Folsom, California.

Walker Lyons is the No. 115, No. 5 tight end, and No. 10 player in California, and he decommitted from the Stanford Cardinal on Monday morning. Lyons had committed to them in July. However, he said that the Cardinal remains a top choice for him, and he wants to reevaluate everything now that head coach David Shaw has stepped down. Stanford, Utah, and Michigan among others are the expected players in this recruitment. Currently, I would give the Utes the edge in this freshly reopened recruitment.

BREAKING: Four-Star TE Walker Lyons has Decommitted from Stanford and will sign in February.

The 6’4 230 TE from Folsom, CA had been committed to the Cardinal since July.

Holds a total of 34 offers including Alabama, USC, Utah, and others. https://t.co/7G2kZhumb0 pic.twitter.com/pxm4M9Sgzn

–3-star EDGE Brenton Williams, Opelika High School, Opelika, Alabama.

Brenton Williams is the No. 1260 overall, No. 104 edge, and No. 47 player in Alabama, and he committed to the Auburn Tigers on Monday morning. He had been committed to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers before backing off his pledge on November 17. Williams joins an Auburn class with 13 recruits that rank No. 32 overall. The Tigers class will be something to monitor as they could add or lose players now that Hugh Freeze was named head coach.
