Heading into week nine there weren’t many changes at the top but Clemson did make a slight move up.
1. Tennessee (1) — Still my top team with the best wins of anyone.
2. Georgia (2) — The showdown is coming with the Vols.
3. Ohio State (3) — The most dangerous team in the country? We don’t know but could see this weekend.
4. Clemson (5) — I jumped them over idle Michigan because the Syracuse win is a very good one.
5. Michigan (4) — Shouldn’t be challenged until Ohio State.
6. TCU (8) — This team just knows how to win.
7. Alabama (7) — ‘Bama is still ‘Bama but Miss State never matches up well.
8. Oregon (10) — Bo Nix for Heisman? Bet you thought you’d never hear those words.
9. Oklahoma State (NR) — Despite the loss to TCU this team is legit.
10. USC (NR) — The Pac 12 gets better every week and they have chances to move up.
Just missed: Wake Forest, Utah, Ole Miss, UCLA, Syracuse
