Recruiting Round-Up Five-Star Visits Columbus

Four-Star DL Jordan Renaud Update

Alabama had Renaud for a visit against Utah State, and this led to Steve Wiltfong of 247sports putting in a crystal ball for Alabama. This is a two-team race between the Crimson Tide and the Oklahoma Sooners. OU seemed to have had the leg up going into the visit, but Alabama definitely grabbed the lead in the race, but this weekend OU hosted Renaud for an official against Kent State. Renaud and his family were very impressed by their visit to Norman and now its anyone’s game once again. Hold a gun to my head I would say Alabama is still the slight leader but we’re talking like a 51%-49% this thing is a coin flip.

4-Star DL, Jordan Renaud @JordanX7even feels he is a ‘swiss-army knife’ across the defensive front.

Five-Star EDGE Keon Keeley

Keon took his Ohio State visit this last weekend. It went well, the Buckeyes made a good impression on the young edge rusher, and former ND commitment. This is an OSU vs Alabama battle, Still, even after the impressive visit, it sounds like the Tide are clearly still in front for the talented edge. But there is a long way until signing day and Ohio State has a foot in the door.

Texas had a surprise visitor for the Alabama game

Oklahoma commitment Colton Vasek was on the visitor list for the Alabama vs Texas game. The only reason this is noteworthy is because of Brent Venables “no visit” policy. But, I am told there is no news here. Vasek’s father is a Longhorn legacy, and there was apparently some issue with season tickets they had for the contest, in which he wanted to take his friends. Vasek lives in Austin, because of this particular issue with the tickets, according to a phone conversation with him and OUInsider.com senior writer Brandon Drumm, he was invited to the game via Twitter DM by a GA after hearing about the ticket issue. He talked to OU DE coach Miguel Chavis who gave the okay given the circumstances. He told Drumm “He did not even consider it a visit”

Certainly an unusual note, but Sooner fans you’re in the clear, Texas fans, well no dice.
