Potential Transfers Heading into 2022

With depth charts dropping all over the country, it’s time to take a look to see who could potentially be entering the transfer portal…

One of the toughest things to do is to project who will hit the transfer portal. Sure it’s easy with guys like Spencer Rattler once he was benched but most are not obvious. Here are some guys on transfer watch to me.

1. Alabama RB Trey Sanders

— He’s basically fourth on the depth chart after numerous injuries. The former 5 star recruit would be heavily recruited in the portal.

2. Nebraska RB Rahmir Johnson

— Once thought to be an exciting option in the offense as a Wide Back, he seems to be a forgotten man now. Zero carries and zero targets in game one?

3. Pick Your Georgia TE

— either Arik Gilbert or Darnell Washington have to go right? Brock Bowers is the man and the backup will get some catches (Washington had 10 catches last season) but something will have to give eventually. The guess? It will be Washington if Gilbert gets his act together.

4. Bama LB Demouy Kennedy

—He’s talented for sure but it doesn’t seem like he’ll play a whole lot barring a surprise.

5. Oregon QB Jay Butterfield

— Ty Thompson is the future and Bo Nix is the now. That leaves Butterfield outside looking in.

6. Texas QB Hudson Card

— Quinn Ewers won the job, Arch Manning is coming soon and Card will hit the portal.
