Elite 11 Superlatives

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Some accolades from my Elite 11 film breakdown.

Strongest arm: Jackson Arnold over Jaxon Smolik

Arnold has a cannon but the Tulane commit spins it. Tulane is going to have a hard time hanging onto him while the Sooners are in good hands with Arnold.

Best accuracy: Austin Novosad over Dante Moore

Novosad, the Baylor commitment being pursued by Ohio State and others, is deadly accurate and leads his receivers so well. Moore can make any throw look easy and drops the ball into tight spots. I have Michigan leading Oregon for him.

Best long ball touch: Dante Moore over Jaden Rashada

Moore’s long ball reminds me of JT Daniels downfield touch from years ago which is saying something as Daniels was amazing out of high school. Rashada, the Miami commit, can struggle with shorter passes but his long ball is gorgeous.

Most fluid motion: Malachi Nelson over Austin Novosad

Nelson is the poster child for throwing motion in this class and the USC commit is just fun to watch as he delivers the ball. Novosad isn’t far behind.

Most Consistent: Christopher Vizzina over Dante Moore

The Clemson commit Vizzina doesn’t have highs or lows like some others while Moore was just spot on from the start.

Intermediate sniper: Pierce Clarkson over Malachi Nelson

Clarkson’s intermediate accuracy and touch are impressive and he’s flawless on those throws. Louisville is getting a guy who can work the middle of the field. Nelson is also extremely efficient from 10-20 yards.

The Best Way to End the Scheduling Debate

Best on the run: Malachi Singleton over JJ Kohl

Singleton, the Arkansas commit, is not a surprise as a mobile thrower but Kohl, headed to Iowa State, is because you wouldn’t expect him to be so fluid outside the pocket.

The “It Factor”: Malachi Nelson over Jackson Arnold

Nelson is just a cool customer in all aspects and carries himself like a future star while Arnold has that cannon and knows it.

Sleeper: Jaxon Smolik over Kenny Minchey

Smolik is being pursued by Cal and others will jump in as the Elite 11 was the worst thing that could have happened to Tulane. Minchey, headed to Pitt, was much better than expected.

Stunner: JJ Kohl over Avery Johnson

Kohl was kinda stunning for his footwork and agility while Avery Johnson, choosing between Oregon, Washington, and Kansas State, was so off early that it’s stunning how much he improved as things wore on.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
