Fact or Fiction: Quinn Ewers, Arch Manning, Most Hyped Recruits Ever

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In today’s Fact or Fiction, I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Quinn Ewers will end up transferring

Farrell’s take: FICTION

This is a popular storyline now among the uninformed. I’ve seen so many people predict or at least ask if Ewers, the Ohio State transfer and an amazingly hyped QB as well, will eventually leave Texas once Arch arrives. The answer is no. Ewers has this season to prove himself as the man over Hudson Card and if he does so he will be entrenched as the firm starter in 2023 as well. Then it’s off to the NFL with that rare arm talent. Manning will be a freshman in 2023 and will likely see spot duty and take over the following season. If Ewers does leave it’s because he couldn’t beat out Card.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Arch is the most hyped quarterback ever

Farrell’s take: FACT

Jimmy Clausen was No. 1 before Arch came along, at least to me. After Clausen was called the LeBron James of high school football I knew there was no way to live up to the hype. Now Manning has the last name to live up to as well and people will be predicting amazing things for him at Texas. I’ve never seen so much hype around a QB.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_column_text]

Fact or Fiction:

Arch Manning will live up to the hype

Farrell’s take: FICTION

It’s impossible, I’m sorry. He’s so hyped he just can’t unless he wins the Heisman and a national title and becomes the No. 1 overall pick. Odds of all of those happening are low. The bar is set too high.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
