[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]We continue to roll out the first round NFL Draft grades for certain teams and the Carolina Panthers are next…

6.  Ikem Ekwonu – OT, NC State

Ekwonu was my favorite tackle in this draft class. At NC State he racked up over 200 pancakes during his career. Though he is slightly undersized at his position, he has the strength, and technique to more than make up for any shortcomings. At NC State he was an elite pass blocker who was also dominant in blocking the run. Another hometown kid here as he grew up in the greater Charlotte area. With how poorly the Panthers’ O-line has played in recent seasons, Christian McCaffery must be happy with this pick.

Grade: A[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
