[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]We roll out the first round NFL Draft grades for certain teams and the New York Giants are next…

5.  Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, Oregon

Going into draft night there was some buzz about character concerns with Thibodeaux, as well as questions about his love of the game. While it is undeniable that he does have a big personality, that is common among players in the NFL. In my opinion, this was likely a narrative planted by one or more organizations hoping to cause him to fall in the draft, so they had a shot at drafting him. Fortunately for Kayvon, the Giants have a history of drafting players with big personalities. EDGE was a position of serious need for the Giants coming into this draft, and Kayvon is poised to be a star in the pros. Great value here at five, taking my second-highest graded DE in this class.

Grade: B+

7. Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

While Evan Neal doesn’t have 200 pancakes to his name or any eye-popping highlights on the field, it still stands that he was pretty much an immovable object along the Bama O-line last season. Neal recently went viral for highlights of some of his offseason workouts displaying his athleticism. At 6’8″ and 330-pounds, you wouldn’t expect him to have such an impressive athletic profile. Off athleticism alone, there is a high upside with this pick. Neal is a no-doubt day one starter, a great pick here by New York.

Grade: B+[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
