— The game of football is a passing game now and these five teams will be impossible to stop next season by all accounts…
1. Ohio State
Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson may be gone, but it doesn’t matter. Ohio State still has the best receiver in the country in Jaxon Smith-Njigba, one of the most talented quarterbacks in CJ Stroud, and a program that has proven over the past decade that they’re going to be able to air it out with anyone.
2. Alabama
Bryce Young is back for an encore after winning the Heisman as a redshirt freshman in 2021, and he’s got a lot of new receivers that he has to get used to working with. Gone are Jameson Williams, John Metchie III, and Jaleel Billingsley, but in are Jermaine Burton and Tyler Harrell. They’ll have no problem putting up huge yards again.
3. Wake Forest
Despite losing Jaquarii Roberson to the NFL, Wake Forest still brings back an all-conference player out wide in AT Perry and potential All-American quarterback Sam Hartman. Dave Clawson always gets the most out of his guys, and he’s got another strong group this year.
4. Purdue
Aidan O’Connell continues to be one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the country, and at this point, we have to trust Jeff Brohm’s ability to build a passing game. They’re going to come out bombing away again this year.
5. Mississippi State
It’s a Mike Leach offense, so you know that they’re going to be able to throw it around. Will Rogers led the nation in pass attempts and completions last year, and more than likely will again this season.

1. Clemson
Despite having a tough season on the offensive side of the ball, their defense was outstanding, especially against the pass. They’ve got the combination of a great pass rusher and elite cover guys that you want.
2. Alabama
Will Anderson is back as the best pass rusher in the country, and Dallas Turner showed flashes last year making this one of the best pass rushes in the nation. And they brought in the best defensive player in the portal with Eli Ricks. They’re going to be outstanding again.
3. Georgia
The Bulldogs lose a lot of talent from last year’s national championship-winning defense, but there’s still a ton leftover. Kelee Ringo will be one of the top CBs in the country, and Nolan Smith will put up double-digit sacks.
4. NC State
A great defense from front to back, the Wolfpack bring back nearly everyone from a defense that finished 9th in the country last year in passer rating allowed. They’re going to be great once again.
5. Texas A&M
This is all about Antonio Johnson – he’s the most versatile secondary player in the country, as he can line up at safety, slot corner, and even out wide, and be one of the best in the country no matter where he lines up. The Aggies have loads of young pass rushers as well – don’t be surprised when they’re one of the best around.
— And finally I gave you five programs that helped themselves in the NFL Draft the other day but these programs didn’t help their recruiting efforts at all.
Texas — Texas high school football produced 32 picks in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Texas Longhorns produced none. That’s horrible.
Oregon — One pick? That’s crazy, especially the way Mario Cristobal recruited. I know most of his talent was young talent but one is still bad.
Miami — Cristobal has his work cut out for him at Miami as well, as they had just one pick.
Florida State — Remember when the Noles sent a ton of players to the league? They sent one — a transfer — this time.
Auburn — Auburn has put together top 15 recruiting classes forever but put only one guy in the NFL Draft. It would have been two if Malik Willis wasn’t shown the door.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
