[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]Ole Miss has been killing it in the portal making multiple impact additions. However, that has not been without departures. Ole Miss DB Keidron Smith has announced his decision to transfer to SEC foe Kentucky. Smith was also considering Miami and Missouri.

Out of high school, Smith was a three-star prospect out of West Palm Beach, Florida. Smith saw some playing time during his time with the Rebels and his biggest asset is his versatility. He has started games at three positions in the secondary and is an SEC veteran. Along with his versatility Smith has shown that he can make tackles in run support, he was second on the team in tackles last season while starting 10 games at cornerback.

The Wildcats desperately need secondary help so Smith should be able to slide in and see a lot of playing time bringing a veteran presence to the team. With one year of eligibility remaining Smith will be a band-aid-like fix to the secondary issues that face Mark Stoops and squad.

He is a three-star transfer recruit and he will likely be an SEC starter able to play multiple positions.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
