[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2044″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]A little over two weeks after entering the portal, Maryland transfer defensive end Demeioun Robinson announced his commitment to Penn State, one of many schools that immediately made him a priority once he became available.

Robinson, who took a visit to Happy Valley on Friday, held a Penn State offer coming out of high school but did not have the Nittany Lions in his final list of schools when he committed to Maryland. Instead, he chose the Terps over Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson.

As a true freshman with the Terps, Robinson played in all 13 games, finishing with 19 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and two sacks. At Penn State, he will be expected to have a prominent role at defensive end, with both Arnold Ebiketie and Jesse Luketa moving on to the NFL.

Farrell’s take: Robinson was an interesting prospect out of high school as some had him ranked very high and others were lukewarm on him. I saw him as a ‘tweener who would need the right system to be successful but with Penn State’s use of Micah Parsons, they know how to get linebackers after the passer. I see him as a situation pass rusher and perhaps not an every-down edge.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
