1. Jermaine Burton will be a top five college football wide receiver next season
Farrell’s take: FACT
Based on what I’m hearing out of Alabama spring football we could have another Jameson Williams situation on our hands in Tuscaloosa. What does that mean? It means a transfer coming in and becoming WR1 and one of the best at his position in the country. Burton needs to show he can stay healthy for a full season and he’s not as fast as Williams but he’s a better route runner and his chemistry with Bryce Young has been excellent. After the big four of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jordan Addison, Kayshon Boutte and Xavier Worthy the next best wide receiver in the country is up for grabs. And it could be Burton.
2. Devin Leary will make a Heisman push
Farrell’s take: FACT
Leary was outstanding for NC State this spring and looks to have taken a bigger step than he did last year when he had 35 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions. It will be hard for anyone to beat out Bryce Young or CJ Stroud but you know a quarterback will make a run like Kenny Pickett did last season and Leary looks like the guy.
3. Someone will go on Daniel Faalele in round one
Farrell’s take: FICTION
He’s massive — 6-foot-8 and 380 pounds and he can move like a smaller man. So will the Minnesota offensive tackle end up in round one? It could happen but more likely he’s a second round guy. But I’m asking this question for a reason as some teams see him as a Robbie Havenstein type only bigger. Havenstein was a second rounder but his success might have some teams thinking a massive and potentially elite RT could be worth a late first round pick.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
