Fact or Fiction

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”292″ img_size=”large”][vc_column_text]In today’s Fact or Fiction I look at three big recent topics in college football and decide whether the statement is indeed FACT or if it’s FICTION.

Kayvon Thibodeaux will fall outside the top 10

Farrell’s take: FICTION

I don’t see it. There have been questions about his love of football and desire especially after he decided to skip workouts at the NFL Combine. But a solid Pro Day and the need of some teams in the top 10 at EDGE will not let him get past the New York Giants at No. 7 or the New York Jets at No. 10.

Miami is the team college football needs to return to glory

Farrell’s take: FICTION

It’s USC, sorry Miami fans. People love to debate this and I picked Miami as the team that I’d love to see return to glory but for college football it’s USC. The Pac-12 has been an afterthought for years in the college football playoff and with Lincoln Riley in LA now with Caleb Williams and others, the Trojans need to be the team to break through and become relevant for the first time since Pete Carroll was around.

Marvin Harrison Jr. will be the breakout star of 2022

Farrell’s take: FICTION

He will be great but there are many wide receivers at Ohio State who will battle for catches and yards. My pick is Dallas Turner at Alabama. Of course, Alabama has Will Anderson as their elite pass rusher but he will get so much attention that a player like Turner who we saw explode onto the scene in the college football playoff last year.
