Recruitment
Status: Committed to Texas
This throw by new 2025 Texas QB commit KJ Lacey (@kjlacey7) is incredibly impressive. Opposite hash to outside the numbers, 40-yards down the field on the money.

Scouting Report
Standing at 6-1 180 pounds, KJ Lacey has a poor for the QB position. Adding 10-15 pounds of good weight can benefit him at the next level. Lacey throws to the best WR in 2025, Ryan Williams, making it hard to evaluate him. Lacey has a huge arm and can throw the ball 55+ yards with ease. The agile dual-threat QB can use his legs to create plays in the RPO game and escape the pocket if needed. He works through his progressions nicely to find the open receiver and is a pass-first QB. His accuracy is decent and could use some tweaking. Lacey has trouble staying in the pocket and is always moving. His accuracy is solid while throwing on the run. Lacey should work on his footwork and mechanics before college
