Scouting Report

Standing at 6-2 185 pounds, Will Hammond has a solid build for the QB position. Adding 5-10 pounds could benefit the Hutto QB at the next level. Will displays an ok three-step drop, along with an understanding of pocket presence. He is comfortable throwing 50/50 balls and balls into deep coverage as he trusts his receivers. He does a decent job of avoiding pressure and seems aware of how to move around the pocket. His running ability is solid, and he can make plays with his legs when needed. He has a decent arm and is capable of making throws to all three levels of the field. His accuracy is decent but can be improved as he tends to overthrow/underthrow at times. Hammond projects as a P5 starter after a year or two of sitting for development at the next level.
