The elite programs in the country tend to have an easier time attracting top-level high school quarterbacks. That gets even easier when it involves legacy recruits. Ohio State may be in the lucky situation of having two legacy quarterbacks coming their way.
The Buckeyes are still in pursuit of a Class of 2026 quarterback, but already have a top Class of 2027 commitment, Brady Edmunds from Huntington Beach, California. After this, things can get interesting in Columbus.
First up is Class of 2028 quarterback Myles Teague, 6-foot-1 and 165-pounds, from Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Teague is the younger brother of former Buckeyes’ running back Master Teague, who played in Columbus from 2018 to 2021 and rushed for 1,661 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Further down the road we have Class of 2029 quarterback Nate Miller III, 6-foot-0 and 187-pounds, who will be attending Westerville Central in Ohio as a freshman later this year. Miller’s connection to Ohio State is that his uncle is former star quarterback Braxton Miller.
Miller’s time in Columbus was memorable. As a three-year starter from 2011 to 2013, he passed for 5,292 yards and 52 touchdowns, while rushing for 3,054 yards and 32 touchdowns. He was a two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year and in 2012 finished fifth in Heisman Trophy voting.

Will Teague and Miller develop into quarterbacks that a worthy of an Ohio State offer? It is still too early to say, but time is on their side. And both were on campus over the weekend to attend a camp. If both or either develop, the Buckeyes will be there to take advantage of their connections.
