Recruiting can speed up quickly during the spring for players. Elite players can pile up offers, while lesser-known players can quickly jump on the radar. Class of 2027 RB Xavier Bala is quickly becoming a name to watch, which was further enhanced over the weekend when he picked up an offer from Nebraska.
After a great day in Lincoln, NE I am grateful to have earned an offer from the University of Nebraska @HuskerFootball Thank you to @CoachEJbarthel and @CoachMattRhule and the rest of the staff for all of the coaching, conversations, and guidance.@RivalsFriedman @SWiltfong_… pic.twitter.com/DmDxyf7JPZ

Bala earned his offer on Sunday after an impressive camp performance in Lincoln. The offer is his ninth overall, joining Syracuse, Rutgers, Boston College, UConn, Buffalo, Bowling Green, UMass and Stony Brook. This is all coming after his impressive sophomore season at St. Anthony’s in Melville, New York, when he rushed for 1,009 yards and nine touchdowns
At 6-foot-0 and 210-pounds, Bala has seen his stock rise in recent months. This was helped by his RB MVP performance during the 2025 Navy All-American National Combine. Expect more offers to come his way in the coming weeks and months, and a big junior season is likely to solidify him as a national recruit.
