2026 LB Brody Nickerson is as talented as they come in the ranks of Ohio high school football.

One of only a few junior captains in the history of Turpin High School’s history, Nickerson led the team in tackles each of the last two seasons with a combined 160 stops. He is the leading tackler in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) going into his senior season.

In addition, he has posted 23 tackles for loss and nine sacks over that same time frame. Nickerson is also closing in on the No. 2 spot for career tackles at Turpin.

Last season, Nickerson posted 84 tackles, 9 sacks and 16 tackles for loss on his way to earning First-Team All-Conference honors. Nickerson was also voted 2024 Defensive Player of the Year by his teammates, in addition to being voted a two-time Linebacker of the Year by the coaching staff.

For his efforts, Nickerson earned the following accolades:

As a multi-sport athlete, Nickerson’s athleticism is elite. In addition to football, Nickerson plays travel baseball and has played on the varsity ice hockey team since he was a freshman. As a quarterback in grade school, Nickerson led his team to back-to-back city championships.

If you go looking for Nickerson on campus, you will find him in three rooms. First, in the film room, where he is constantly reviewing footage of each week’s opponent.

After that, Nickerson can be found on an extended stay in the weight room. He benches 300 pounds, deadlifts 545 pounds and squats 500. At 6-foot, 216 pounds, Nickerson has been clocked at 4.7 in the 40-yard dash.

Another room where you will find Nickerson is study hall. He maintains a 3.4 GPA and received a score of 26 on the ACT.

As a recruit, the talented Nickerson has received interest from such schools as Dayton, Delaware, Brown, Austin Peay and Bryant University.

To all the college coaches out there looking for a linebacker that loves to hit people and separate the opposition from the football, book a trip to Cincinnati to catch a Turpin Spartans game.

But do not stand too close to the action. That is where you will find Nickerson running sideline to sideline, causing chaos and bedlam as the opposition tries unsuccessfully to stop him.

The Godfather of Recruiting, Mike Farrell, said this about Nickerson,

“2026 verified 3-star LB Brody Nickerson explodes to the football. Works well off contact. 6-0, 215 and hits.”–Mike Farrell
