The 2019 LSU Tigers were dominant and entertaining on the field. A few years later, more and more of the former Tigers are signing NFL contract extensions that make them amongst the wealthiest players at their positions.

The legacy of the 2019 LSU Tigers continues:

💰 Joe Burrow: $275M
💰 Ja'Marr Chase: $161M
💰 Justin Jefferson: $140M
💰 Derek Stingley: $90M
💰 Damien Lewis: $53M
💰 Lloyd Cushenberry: $50M
💰 Patrick Queen: $40M
💰 Grant Delpit: $36M

▪️ 15 more 2019 Tigers are in NFL.

— Jeff Duncan (@JeffDuncan_) March 17, 2025

This above list got more impressive during the last week when Ja’Marr Chase and Derek Stingley both signed their extensions, which make them the highest paid wide receiver and cornerback in the league.

The offense was the highlight of the 2019 team, with Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson and Chase producing video game numbers throughout the season. But the defensive players like Stingley, Damien Lewis and Lloyd Cushenberry have also become top NFL players.

Everyone knew that the 2019 team was talented, but when everyone looks back at them in 10-20 years, all of the accolades may have not been enough as this group has the opportunity to become the most successful in football history.

And you can be sure that LSU is using all of this as a recruiting tool.
