Luke Brumm drops his way-to-early predictions for the record of each ACC team for next season.

This article covers my record predictions for each ACC team heading into next season. Since Notre Dame is independent, I added their prediction at the end of this.

Boston College (6-6)

Boston College went 3-9 last season and that surprised a few people. I think they will bounce back this upcoming season and make a bowl game.

Clemson (10-2)

This will be Clemson’s first full season with Cade Klubnik under center. I don’t see them going back to the undefeated team they were a few years ago. I have them losing two games.

Clemson QB Cade Klubnik and coach Dabo Sweeney.

Duke (6-6)

Duke did better than a lot of people thought last season, going 8-4. I see them regressing back to 6-6 however.

Florida State (11-1)

I believe Florida State is the best team in the ACC. I have them with one loss, but wouldn’t be surprised if they could run the table.

Florida State QB Jordan Travis.

Georgia Tech (5-7)

Georgia Tech kept their interim coach, Brent Key after he brought a little bit of life into this program at the end of last season. I see them winning five games in 2023.

Georiga head coach Brent Key.

Louisville (6-6)

Louisville has Jeff Brohm as their coach but lost their starting QB, Malik Cunningham. I have them going 6-6 this season, but watch out for Louisville in the near future.

New Louisville head coach Jeff Brohm.

Miami (7-5)

Miami seemingly underachieves every season. I’m setting their bar at 7-5 but could see them doing a lot worse or a lot better and it wouldn’t surprise me.

North Carolina (9-3)

The Tar Heels are coming off a trip to the ACC Championship and return star quarterback, Drake Maye. If they can get their defense straightened out, they could be even better than 9-3.

North Carolina QB Drake Maye.

North Carolina State (7-5)

NC State is losing QB Devin Leary to Kentucky but will bring in lefty Brennan Armstrong from Virginia. I don’t see NC State losing more than five games at most.

Pittsburgh (7-5)

I believe Pitt will regress from their 9-3 record in 2022. I have them at 7-5 and still in a bowl game next season.

Syracuse (7-5)

The Orange shocked a lot of people last year and where even ranked at one point. They finished 6-6 in the regular season and I have them improving on that record by one game in 2023.

Syracuse QB Garrett Schrader.

Virginia (3-9)

Virginia is losing their QB and already had a bad record last season. I don’t see them improving much.

Virginia Tech (3-9)

The other Virginia school is Virginia Tech and they are in a very similar position. They won only three games last season and one was to Old Dominion. I don’t see them getting much better next season.

Wake Forest (6-6)

Wake Forest will regress in 2023 after losing Sam Hartman to Notre Dame. I have the Demon Deacons going 6-6 next season.

Wake head coach Dave Clawson.

Notre Dame (10-2) (Honorable Mention)

I added Notre Dame to this due to their agreement with the ACC and the fact they’re in the ACC in almost every other sport. I like this Irish team and think they got their missing piece in Sam Hartman. I have Notre Dame going 10-2 in 2023.
