My college football predictions are here, and the excitement is through the roof. The new season is about to kick off, and every team dreams of making the College Football Playoff. Some will surprise us, while others might fall short. This year, reloaded rosters and rising stars will make the race for the national championship one of the most intense in years.

Here’s my breakdown of who will win each Power Four conference, plus my pick for the 2025 National Champion. Before that, JD Pickell gives his thoughts and predictions about this season, in the video below.

ACC Champion: Miami Hurricanes

In my college football predictions, the Miami Hurricanes claim the ACC title. The key is quarterback Carson Beck, the missing piece for Miami’s offense. When Beck is locked in, he’s consistent, accurate and dangerous.

This team is loaded with weapons on offense and a defense ready to return the “U” to national prominence. By staying healthy, Miami will be a dark horse in the playoff race.

SEC Champion: Texas Longhorns

Texas lost to Georgia in last year’s SEC Championship game, but this year will be different. The Longhorns are stacked on both sides of the ball, making them one of the most complete teams in the country.

Their third-quarter efficiency was their Achilles heel last year, but if it improves, Texas will be extremely difficult to stop. In my college football predictions, Texas is built to win now, not just compete.

Big Ten Champion: Ohio State Buckeyes

The Buckeyes’ loss to Michigan last year has is talked about non-stop, but this season will tell a different story. Ohio State will take down the Wolverines en route to another Big Ten crown.

They have an elite defense, one of the nation’s top offensive lines and stacked skill players to say the least. Julian Sayin will lead the offense just fine, making the Buckeyes a powerhouse in the playoff picture.

Big 12 Champion: Arizona State Sun Devils

With Texas and Oklahoma gone, the Big 12 is wide open. My college football predictions have Arizona State taking the crown again.

Quarterback Sam Leavitt leads the way with star receiver Jordyn Tyson back in the lineup. This roster is full of returning talent, giving them the experience needed to repeat as conference champions.

National Champion: Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State is focused, hungry, and ready to defend their title. Their explosive offense, led by Jeremiah Smith and company, pairs perfectly with their stingy defense.

When Sayin finds his rhythm, no team will be able to stop Ryan Day’s squad. In my college football predictions, Ohio State will repeat as back-to-back as national champions.

Final Thoughts

My college football predictions point to a season full of drama, upsets and unforgettable games. Miami, Texas, Arizona State and Ohio State will all have their moments—but in the end, the Buckeyes will stand alone again.
