When asked about choosing the right school, Manning said “I think the best advise I can give is to take a
look at the school or where you’re going to go and where are you going to be happy. If money is going to
dictate where you’re going to go for the next four years, you’re probably going to make a mistake.”
“…where are you going to be when on Sunday nights and you’ve thrown three interceptions, got beat by
the crosstown rivals…and you’re homesick, where are you going to be still relatively happy?” he went on
to say.

When it comes to NIL, “It depends, everyone is in a different situation certainly, but I think to play the
long game is probably the best way to do it…you did a little dinky deal here that’s going to hurt you from
doing something bigger…worry about the craft, the reason you’re there is to get an education and to
play football and to make friends and to have a great college experience. It’s not all about how much
money you can jam in your pocket those couple of years.”
Patrick asked him about Quinn Ewers coming back, did their son ever come and talk about transferring
and playing immediately somewhere else. “Yah, it’s frustrating not to play. Did he love it, no. Was it
probably good for him in the long-run, yes.”
