Before every season, people will come out with their predictions for the upcoming year that make a few people scratch their heads. Well, today, we’re going to be looking at some bold takes from the staff at Mike Farrell Sports. At the end of the season, we’ll come back and look at how we did with our takes. Here is part two.

App State shocked the country when they upset Texas A&M last season.

Beck Leads Georgia to Two Losses

This one again comes from Cory Lemer. He said, “Beck struggled in the spring game and, despite the light schedule and dominant team, last season against Missouri showed Georgia’s vulnerability. Due to his inexperience, I see him losing to Tennessee and then Alabama in the SEC Championship.”

Carson Beck will take over as Georgia’s starting QB.

Michigan Wins it All

This is the last one from Cory. He stated, “Michigan brings back the best RB room in the country, and the line is just as strong as last season. With the defense also being just as strong this year, I can see the Wolverines breeze past their competition en route to the CFP once again. This time, they get over the hump and win the championship.

Michigan RB Blake Corum is one of the best players in the country.

The Best Way to End the Scheduling Debate

Oregon State Makes the Pac 12 Championship

This one is from Alec Nederveld and goes along with my Pac-12 championship bold take. He thinks Oregon State will make the conference championship and had this to say about it: “After the Beavers came out of nowhere to win ten games, I see them taking the next step forward. They have an upgrade at quarterback with DJ Uiagelelei and didn’t lose much production from last year. Lastly, their schedule is very workable as they avoid USC and play Washington and Utah at home.”

QB DJ Uiagelelei transferred from Clemson to Oregon State during the offseason.

Florida Wins Two Out of Their Five Games vs. Preseason Top 15 Teams

This is another one from Alec. He said, “While Graham Mertz isn’t amazing, Billy Napier is high on him, so he could be better than expected. The defense is very solid, and he’ll be aided by a very strong ground game. They upset Utah last year and played Tennessee, LSU, and FSU close. I see them closing on two of those games next season.”

QB Graham Mertz transferred from Wisconsin to Florida this offseason.
