Recent rumors were proven to be true, as former Penn State quarterback Matt McGloin will be joining his former head coach, Bill O’Brien, in Boston College as an offensive analyst:

As an offensive analyst for the Eagles, he will be tasked with breaking down film and preparing the unit during game week. This will be his first coaching job after previously working for the Big Ten Network as a sideline reporter and analyst.
During his time with the Nittany Lions he passed for 6,390 yards and 46 touchdowns, with his best season coming in 2012 when he finished with 3,271 yards, 24 touchdowns and only five interceptions. That was also his one season being coached by Coach O’Brien.

While he was not drafted in 2013, he was signed as a free agent by the Oakland Raiders. He also spent time with Philadelphia, Houston and Kansas City before seeing his professional career come to an end in 2020 with the New York Guardians of the XFL.
Most recently, McGloin was the vice-chairman of the Board of Commissioners in Lackawanna County in Pennsylvania. Rumors of his move to Boston College intensified when he recently resigned from his post.
