BREAKING: NIL Chaos Pushes Another Coach into Retirement

The lack of NIL rules has driving away another college football coach into retirement

The lack of control in the current world of NIL has chased away another successful college football coach. This list steadily gets longer, with Boise State offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter being the latest.

Koetter made his announcement on Thursday night, a couple of days after the Broncos lost to Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl.

Koetter has coached for 42 years, both in college and in the NFL. Born in Idaho, having played his college football at Idaho State and then coaching at Boise State, he has deep ties to the state. But as with many coaches in his generation, the current state of the college game has driven him away.

For those who prefer a different kind of strategy and excitement, you can also find reliable casinos offering welcome offers to enhance your experience.

“Our best players are getting offered between 2 and 10 times what we can offer. We are losing recruits in the portal to schools that are just flat outbidding us.”

There should be no surprise with this part of his statement. While Boise State has firmly established itself as one of the most successful programs in the country over the last 25 years, they will never be able to compete with the elite financially. Their ability to keep Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty this season was a job well done, but there are too many players on a football roster who want and expect more NIL money for a program like Boise State to fulfill all their needs.

So, add Koetter to the list of coaches who don’t want to deal with the chaos. And make sure to leave room at the bottom of the page because more names will be added sooner than later.
