BREAKING: Ohio State is the Most Valuable College Program

Big Ten and SEC schools dominate the recent listing of the most valuable college programs

The money is bigger than ever in college athletics, with schools from the Big Ten and SEC leading the pack. This was proven yet again with a new announcement yesterday, which is dominated by the two conferences and has Ohio State at the very top:

With football being what stirs the financial pot for every major university, this listing should come as little surprise. It also shouldn’t be a surprise that Ohio State is playing for this season’s national championship, Michigan won last season’s national championship, Texas has made it to the last two national semifinals and Alabama is still one of the more consistent winners in the country despite a down season in 2024.

Texas A&M is the outlier in this group. It has long been known that they are no stranger to financial success, but that has yet to translate on the field as it has for the other above-mentioned schools. Excuses are limited when your athletic program is valued at $1.26B.

Also, while Alabama has been a consistent winner for years, if it experiences another disappointing season in 2025 patience will quickly wear thin in Tuscaloosa with head coach Kalen DeBoer.

Having an exorbitant amount of money is a huge advantage, but with it comes the pressure to win consistently. If you don’t, there are no excuses.
