Halfway through the 2022 season, who’s in a position to take home some end-of-year awards?

Week seven will be one of the more critical weeks for the playoffs and awards, as each conference has impactful matchups. Let’s take a look at where the awards balloting sits as we enter a crucial weekend.


Heisman Trophy

The Heisman Trophy is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football.

1. CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud is the clear favorite again here. Drake Maye has impressed this year, leading the Tar Heels to a 5-1 record. Will Rogers is underrated and should be a finalist. Max Duggan and Caleb Williams are tied and can swap based on their week seven performances.

Doak Walker Award

The Doak Walker Award is presented to the top running back in College Football.

Chase Brown has a challenger in Israel Abanikanda. The Pitt RB climbs to #2 after an unheard-of performance. Ibrahim stays at #3, but Laborn and Vaughn are closing in on him fast.

Biletnikoff Award

The Fred Biletnikoff Award is presented to the most outstanding receiver each year.

The gap between Mims and Addison has closed tremendously. #3 through #5 are easily switchable and still have a shot at winning the Biletnikoff.

John Mackey Award

The John Mackey Award is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding Tight End.

Brock Bowers proved he is human this week with a disappointing performance. Kincaid and Mayer remain in the top three after solid games. Griffin Hebert jumps to #4 after an impressive first half of the season. Brenton Strange is at #5 but has the threat of many elite TEs making their case for this list.
