Ryan Day is asking for someone to enforce the rules regarding the transfer portal and tampering.
According to On3 Sports, star wide receiver Jeramiah Smith is reported to have been offered 4.5+ million
to transfer, yet he is not in the portal.

The transfer window closed in December, except for the teams in the playoffs. Those players have 5
days to enter the portal after their final game. For those who played in Monday’s championship, the
window closed on Saturday.
Day appeared on the Dan Patrick Show Friday. “That’s one of the things to me that I think we’ve got to
get addressed in college sports and college football is enforcement. Because right now, there’s virtually
none. And it’s gotten worse as time has gone on.”
Other coaches have complained about tampering. UConn’s Jim Mora sent out this warning days before
defensive lineman Pryce Young transferred to North Carolina, the team the Huskies just beat in the
Fenway Bowl.

Players are being contacted by third parties telling them what they could get if they enter the portal.
Schools and coaches can cry all they want about tampering. The NCAA hasn’t done anything so far and
they likely won’t any time soon.
