Coach Prime is at it again. Open mouth, insert Air Jordans.
Just as he did when he arrived in Boulder with his Louis Vuitton luggage and his own transfers, Deion Sanders said that some of the players that he specifically selected are not good enough to play for him anymore and they are going to be replaced. This is reminiscent of when Prime released over 75 players from the returning 2022 football team and told them to transfer upon his arrival.
Coach Prime has a new message for his hand-picked offensive line.
After the line gave up seven sacks to the UCLA Bruins defensive front, and Shedeur Sanders was hit 17 times, he said that it was time to go out and get a new offensive line, one that would better protect his son.
“The big picture, you go get new linemen,” Prime said, as told to USA TODAY, “That’s the picture, and I’m gonna paint it perfectly.”
Deion Sanders didn't sugarcoat the solution to Colorado's issues along the offensive line after the Buffs allowed 7 sacks in a loss to UCLA on Saturday.

The Bruins sacked Sanders five times in the first half and hit him hard on other occasions. The pain was so scorching that he had to take a painkilling injection at halftime in order to return to the game during the 28-16 loss to UCLA in the Rose Bowl.
“I’m a little biased because I am his father, but I think we have the best quarterback in the country,” Coach Prime bragged about his son. “I don’t think any other quarterback can put up with, stand and deliver like ours do(es), week in and week out, and take in the beating that he has taken.
“We’ve got to address that.”
Way to throw your line under the proverbial bus, Coach Prime.
Instead of actually coaching and working harder to make his linemen better, Prime wants to kick them to the curb, just like he did most of the 2022 returning players, and bring in recruits and transfers that probably have no better skills than the players he has now. What does this say for the offensive line coach that he hired? Perhaps it’s time for him to start coaching.
The Prime way to address things is to bring in new bodies and send the other bodies down the street. That’s not coaching and that’s cruel.
This endeavor should require actual coaching, and we know that Prime does not get involved with that. He is more of an Ambassador for the University and the City of Boulder than he is an actual football coach.
Doing so would send a great message to the young players from an eccentric, narcissistic coach who claims that he has nothing but love for all of his players.
The quarterback, Shedeur Sanders was more diplomatic than his egotistical father.
Shedeur Sanders again refuses to criticize the offensive line.
"I'm a little banged up right now. That's just what happens when you go against a great defense."

“Yeah, I’m cool, a little banged up right now,” Sanders said after the game. “That’s just what happens after games when you’re playing against tough opponents, a great offensive rush. That’s just what happens.”
Prime went on to add that he will give his son time to rest and heal up after the beating that he took as a result of the performances turned in by players that the father hand-picked.
“He’s hurting everywhere, trust me,” Prime said. “Overall, we just don’t have the fight and the passion to do what we have to do,” Prime said of his offensive line. “The line has to improve. We have to have enough depth to be able to accomplish the goals that we set out to accomplish.”
The elder Sanders brought in 87 new players this season after he was named head coach. What did he see on tape from these linemen that he is not seeing in the games or at practice?
Additionally, Prime hired the offensive line coach, Bill O’Boyle. Maybe the position coach is to blame, and he needs to pound salt. Does Prime have any other friends that he wants to give a job to that are unqualified to coach? The staff needs to teach these kids how to play better instead of sending them somewhere else.
The fans and critics also were quick to slam Prime after his comments.
