Its never too early to take a look at a few FCS players who would draw plenty of transfer attention if they entered during the next cycle

In the crazy world of the transfer portal, every FBS program keeps a close eye at FCS players to see if they can identify any potential future players. Here are five that would get plenty of interest if or when they ever made themselves available.

RB Charles Pierre Jr. (South Dakota)

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound redshirt junior is coming off an All-American season that saw him rush for 1,244 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also added 19 receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns. The Florida native is sure to be on the radar of many programs if he produces another similar season in 2025.

RB Eli Gillman (Montana)

At 6-foot-0, 208 pounds, it is impressive that the Grizzlies were able to keep the redshirt junior for another season. Gillman was productive in 2023 but then took his game to another level last season with 1,104 yards and 15 touchdowns. Most impressive was his increase in yards per carry from 5.0 to 6.6.

DE Toby Anene (North Dakota State)

Anene emerged as a defensive playmaker for the Bison in 2024, finishing with 29 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. At 6-foot-4, 260-pounds, another big season for the redshirt junior will quickly make him a bigtime transfer target.

CB Christopher Jean (Central Connecticut State)

While his size, 5-foot-9 and 175-pounds, may limit some of the schools that would take a long look at him, nobody can ignore his production. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, he finished with 34 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, 10 pass deflections, four fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles.

WR Samuel Musungu (Cornell)

Musungu will only be a junior in 2025 so if he follows the trend of most top Ivy League players, he has two more seasons with the Big Red before he makes the move as a grad transfer. That will only raise his stock further after he finished the 2024 season with 83 receptions for 960 yards and 10 touchdowns in only 10 games. At 6-foot-1 and 192-pounder from Minnesota has the potential to be the top FCS wide receiver in the country by the time he graduates.
