Is Colorado Still Buzzworthy?

After going 13-12 in their first two seasons under Deion Sanders, is Colorado still buzzworthy?

Every program wants buzz surrounding its program. Since the arrival of head coach Deion Sanders, Colorado has had an overwhelming amount of it. Most of it has been positive, but some negativity did peak out its head during the 2024 season. So, what is the current level of buzz, after the Buffaloes went 13-12 over the last two seasons and now prepare for their first season without both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter?

Colorado would have had to dominate during the last two seasons to have maintained the insane level of positive buzz that enveloped the program back during the summer of 2023. However, despite the mediocre success and loss of their two biggest stars, there is proof that optimism still exists in Boulder.

Colorado has sold out more games than any two-year stretch in school history, 10 games.

CU's season opener vs. Georgia Tech is also selling fast as the demand is greater than any season opener in the last five years, except the Nebraska game in 2023. https://t.co/alCYMxleQh

It isn’t necessarily a surprise that Colorado has announced their first sellout of the season in June, but the fact that it is against Wyoming is interesting. While the Buffaloes and Cowboys are neighbors, there is no intense rivalry considering the two have only played six times since 1947.

If anyone was asked to guess which Colorado home game would sell out first, more likely answers would have been the season opener against Georgia Tech or conference games against BYU, Iowa State or Arizona State. So, is this a sign of things to come this season for the Buffaloes? Expect a couple more sellouts to be announced as we get closer to the season, but for the games that take place later in the season, most notably Arizona State on November 22, it will likely depend how the new look Buffaloes do during the first half of the season.
