Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe has heard the opinions about a possible position change to running back for years. And while that quieted down during his last two seasons with the Tide, it has resurfaced now that he is planning for the NFL Draft. In an interview today with Chris Simms, he discussed the situation:

Milroe ended the above interview with what may become one of the more memorable quotes of 2025.

“You don’t ask a zebra to become a dog.”

Respect to Milroe for sticking to his guns. He will continue to be one of the more polarizing players of the 2025 NFL Draft, with opinions of his skillset and potential ranging drastically from one scout to the next. He undoubtedly will get an opportunity to be an NFL quarterback and what he does with that will entirely be up to him.
