Every year everyone wants to know who will ultimately win CFBs most prestigious award, the Heisman Trophy. It is given to the most outstanding player in the country, and this year there is no shortage of deserving candidates. In this article, I will list my top choice from each P5 conference that has the best shot to win.
ACC
QB Jordan Travis, RS-S, Florida State
- 2022 Stats- 3,214 yds, 24 tds, 5 ints, 64.0 cmp%, 85.8 QBR
- Jordan Travis has had an up-and-down career so far at Florida State, but finally, he put it all together last season. He is only the fourth FSU player to ever amass at least 3,000 total yards and 30 total touchdowns joining former Heisman Trophy winners Charlie Ward (1993), Chris Weinke (2000), and Jameis Winston (2013) earning second-team All-ACC honors. He also ran for 471 yards and seven touchdowns. With a team full of weapons on both sides of the ball, I see him succeeding even more.
- Honorable Mention: QB Drake Maye, North Carolina

BIG 10
WR Marvin Harrison Jr., JR, Ohio State
- 2022 Stats – 77 receptions, 1,263 yards, 14 TDs
- As a Sophomore in 2022 he arguably was the best WR in the country and many people if not most, had him going top 10 or better in this last draft were he eligible. That should let you know plenty about the talent he possesses. Coming from a football bloodline it isn’t hard to see why, as his HOF dad Marvin Harrison torched defenders his whole career. Although it will be a little different with CJ Stroud gone to the NFL, his former HS teammate Kyle McCord is the projected starter at QB this upcoming season. I expect Mr. Harrison to be the same stud.
- Honorable Mention: QB Drew Allar, Penn State

Big 12
QB Quinn Ewers, RS-Sophomore, Texas
- 2022 Stats- 2,177 yds, 15 tds, 6 ints, 58.1 cmp%, 64.8 QBR
- While he had an injury-riddled year last season, he is no doubt one of the most talented passers in the entire country. The numbers might not show it, but with a fully healthy offseason and with numerous weapons in the cupboard, I expect him to show everything he can do.
- Honorable Mention: QB Dillon Gabriel, Oklahoma

Pac 12
QB Caleb Williams, JR, USC
- 2022 Stats- 4,573 passing yards, 42 TDs, 5 Ints, 66.6 completion %, 87.6 QBR
- This one was by far the easiest to put on the list as Caleb Williams is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. All he did last year as his first full year starting was lead the country in passing touchdowns with 42, and almost led his team to the CFP. While he came up short last season, don’t expect the same this upcoming year. With another full offseason as the guy I see him picking right up where he left off.
- Honorable Mention: QB Michael Penix Jr., Washington

SEC
QB Joe Milton, RS-S, Tennessee
- 2022 Stats – 971 yards, 10 TDs, 0 Ints, 64.6 completion %, 83.8 QBR
- Many pundits and fans have a love-hate relationship with Joe Milton. He has some of the best physical tools you could ever wish for in a player, especially a QB, but he just hasn’t put it all together yet. After transferring from Michigan in 2021, he was the week one starter. Soon after Hendon Hooker took over and the rest was history after he went on to win SEC Offensive Player of the Year and eventually went on to the NFL. Now it’s Joe’s turn. With QB guru Josh Heupel as head coach all he has done is improve. With his last year coming up and weapons galore, we should see the best yet from him.
- Honorable Mention: QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
