John Mateer-Oklahoma

2024 Stats (Washington State): 224/347 65%, 3,139 yds, 29 TDs, 7 INTs

John Mateer follows Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle to Oklahoma and will have
two years of eligibility remaining. He was considered the top quarterback in the transfer portal and one
of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country. In 2024, he had 826 yards rushing and 15 rushing
touchdowns. He spent his first two years as a backup for the Cougars and exploded onto the scene in
2024 with over 3,100 yards and 29 passing touchdowns. Mateer will step right in to lead the Sooners, in
2025, with the transfer of Jackson Arnold.

Fernando Mendoza-Indiana

2024 Stats (California): 265/386 69%, 3,004 yds, 16 TDs, 6 INTs

Fernando Mendoza took over as the Cal start during week six of the 2023 season and led the Golden
Bears to a 3-5 record. In 2024 Cal went 6-6 and Mendoza finished third in the ACC in passing yards. He
threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-14 road upset over Auburn. With two years of
eligibility remaining, he transfers to Indiana where his younger brother, Alberto Mendoza, is a freshman
backup quarterback. He will fill an immediate need at quarterback after the Hoosiers made a run into
the 2024 CFP.

The 2024 season came with high expectations for Carson Beck. Beck came in as a Heisman trophy
candidate and many believed he would be the #1 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Beck was injured on the last
play before halftime in the SEC Championship game, he underwent elbow surgery, ending his season.
Beck’s season had its ups and downs. He did throw for 3,485 and 28 touchdowns. He also threw 12
interceptions, including three games with three interceptions, and his completion percentage fell from
72.4% in 2023 to 64.7 in 2024. He heads to the Hurricanes with the hope of improving his draft stock for
2026.

Jackson Arnold-Auburn

2024 Stats (Oklahoma): 154/246 63%, 1,421 yds, 12 TDs, 3 INTs

As a five-star quarterback out of high school, Jaxson Arnold chose Oklahoma and was the backup to
Dillon Gabriel his freshman year. He started the bowl game after Gabriel transferred. He came into
2024 as the starter but was benched after four games and a home loss to Tennessee. He did not leave
the team as many players have done and was back under center a month later. The Sooners went 5-5
with Arnold the quarterback and he added the running threat with 444 yards and three touchdowns on
the ground. Hugh Freeze and Auburn have been searching for an answer at quarterback and the very
talented Arnold just might be the signal caller they’ve been looking for.

Miller Moss-Louisville

2024 Stats (Southern Cal): 233/362 64%, 2,555 yds, 18 TDs, 9 INTs

After redshirting in 2021, Miller Moss, a four-star recruit, spent 2022 and 2023 as a backup for USC. He
made his first start in the 2023 Holiday Bowl and was given MVP honors, throwing for six touchdowns.
He was named starter for the following season and led the Trojans to a 4-5 record. Moss was replaced
as starter after a 26-21 loss at Washington. For the season, he had 2,555 yards and 18 touchdowns but
also threw 9 interceptions. Moss lands in Louisville with coach Jeff Brohm looking to grow as a
quarterback. He has one year of eligibility remaining. The Cardinals happen to be the team that he beat
in his first career start.
