It isn’t abnormal for football players to improve their physique during the off-season. Some may gain good weight; some may lose bad weight and many add muscle. Washington running back Jonah Coleman has totally revamped his body in only a couple of months as can seen in his recent social media post:

According to Coleman, he lost 14 pounds and 2.6% of body fat in eight weeks, which is an impressive accomplishment. The official 2025 Washington roster has Coleman listed a 5-foot-9, 229-pounds, which is the same as his listing in 2024. So, while it is “official”, it is likely that it hasn’t been updated yet. More interesting is that as a freshman and sophomore at Arizona in 2022 and 2023, he was listed at 5-foot-9, 225-pounds, which means he is basically down to that weight now, while increasing muscle mass.

Visually, the difference is stark. Which begs the question, how will this physically impressive version of Coleman perform after rushing for 1,053 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024? Washington fans should be excited about what may be coming in 2025 with their running game.
