J.P. Losman enjoyed a successful collegiate career at Tulane from 2000 to 2003. During his final two seasons with the Green Wave he passed for 5,545 yards and 52 touchdowns while also rushing for eight touchdowns. He was then drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 22nd overall pick in 2004. Losman spent five seasons with the Bills and then had time with Oakland, Seattle and Miami before retiring after the 2011 season. He passed for 6,271 yards and 33 touchdowns during his professional career.

Once his professional career concluded he began his coaching career at New Canaan High School in Connecticut. He then made his way to the college ranks in 2017 with Clemson, first as an intern, then as an offensive analyst and finally as a senior offensive analyst. Most recently he spent three years with Oklahoma as the Sooners player personnel and football administration assistant.

Losman’s role with the Huskies will be his first on-field positional job at the college level. However, he doesn’t arrive in Seattle as an unknown since during his time with the Seahawks in 2010, current Washington head coach Jedd Fisch was on staff as the quarterbacks coach.
