Blue-chip 2025 quarterback recruit Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis finally
made his college decision known today, and the Colorado Buffs
wound up being the recipients. Coach Prime and his his staff did
a great job throughout the process not relenting and ultimately came out on top. Lewis had recently decommitted from USC
just days ago, but there had been chatter for a while for him to
eventually flip.

The Carrollton, GA product has been a stud ever since he touched a
football. He has been sort of a “phenom” if you will for a while. That only became clearer when he joined the high
school ranks. All he did as a freshman was lead his team to a 7A
state championship while breaking the record for yards and touchdowns as. He finished that game with over 500 yards
through the air and five touchdown passes.
He was originally part of the 2026 class, but reclassified and will
join the Buffs this upcoming spring. This commitment means so
much to the Colorado program for many reasons, with the main
being him taking over the reigns after Shedeur Sanders. Not only does Coach
Prime just have his quarterback for the future, he has another elite
one.
Lewis isn’t just your normal top recruit coming in with talent to
start right away. He also has the tools and makeup that
you don’t find often in the high school ranks. He recently passed the 10,000 yard
mark for career passing yards in only three seasons, which sits him at 11th all-time. Before the season ends he
will be Top 10 easily. If not for reclassification the record would
be obliterated.

Lewis is a special prospect that arrives right
on time for the Buffs. Coach Prime and company can now focus on
other needs as they look to continue their rapid upward trajectory as
a program.
