It has been a steady decline for former Oklahoma State star wide receiver Justin Blackmon during the last decade. Sadly, this continued with the news of his recent arrest.
This was one of the most talented wide receivers in college football history. So sad, I hope he gets the help he needs. #nfl #jaguars #nfldraft pic.twitter.com/oGXrnTCn2W

Blackmon was a two-time All-American, won the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s top wide receiver, twice and was the fifth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. His career in the NFL was short lived though, as he was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and was suspended indefinitely for another violation later that year. That was the end of his professional playing career.
Over the last 13 years, Blackmon has dealt with numerous legal issues. His most recent arrest for public intoxication occurred on the steps of Oklahoma State’s Edmon Low Library. On Tuesday, TMZ released footage of his interaction with the police officers after his arrest.
Also of note, on March 27th, Oklahoma State announced that on November 15th, Blackmon would become the sixth player inducted into the Cowboy Ring of Honor, joining Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas, Leslie O’Neal, Bob Fenimore and Terry Miller.
