Legendary football coach Nick Saban has been very vocal since leaving the sidelines and hanging out with Pat
MacAfee
. In an interview with The Pivot, Saban discussed the issue of NIL influencing many player’s decisions.

“…I want to play in the SEC. Ain’t nobody saying I want to play in the SEC now, they saying how much
you paying me…”

While it is true that many players are looking for the largest NIL deals and the player pool seems to be
spreading more across the country, the SEC isn’t going anywhere. 247Sports recruiting rankings have 13
of the top 25 teams being SEC teams, including seven of the top 10. Seems to me players still think the
SEC is a viable place to play college football.
