With the 2024 season now concluded, here is a quick look at the five quarterbacks who will be the most entertaining to watch in 2025:

Garrett Nussmeier-LSU

2024 Stats: 337/525 64%, 4,052 yds, 29 TDs, 12 INTs

Garrett Nussmeier announced in December that he would return to Baton Rouge in 2025 for his final
year of eligibility. 2024 was his first year as starting quarterback after backing up Jayden Daniels the
prior year. He led LSU to a 9-4 record and a Texas Bowl victory over Baylor. With his big arm and the
weapons on the outside for the Tigers, Nussmeier becomes the Heisman Trophy betting favorite
according to FanDuel.

Arch Manning-Texas

2024 Stats: 61/90 68%, 939 yds, 9 TDs, 2 INTs

It is finally Arch time in Austin. Longhorn fans have been waiting two years for this day to come. With
Quinn Ewers announcing a move to the NFL, Arch Manning steps in under center. Manning made two starts
in 2024 for an injured Ewers, winning both games. He made appearances in every game rushing for 108
yards and four touchdowns. Texas will go into 2025 as a favorite to win the CFP. We all know the
Manning family history in the football world. Can Arch possibly live up to the highest of expectations?

Drew Allar-Penn St.

2024 Stats: 262/394 67%, 3,327 yds, 24 TDs, 8 INTs

Penn St. had been on the outside looking into the CFP until the 12-team playoff came. Drew Allar took
full advantage of this and took the Nittany Lions to the final four. As a two-year starter, he improved his
completion percentage and total yards in year two taking Penn St. to the Big 10 championship. As a
dual-threat quarterback, he had 302 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns on the ground. With the return of
Allar and also running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, Penn St, is set for another run at a
national championship.

Dec 7, 2024; Indianapolis, IN, USA; Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar (15) runs for a gain against the Oregon Ducks during the fourth quarter in the 2024 Big Ten Championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

John Mateer-OU

2024 Stats (Washington State): 224/347 65%, 3,139 yds, 29 TDs, 7 INTs

John Mateer followed Washington State offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle and quarterbacks coachJohn Kuceyeski to Oklahoma this offseason. He was the top quarterback in the transfer portal and was considered one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks ranking sixth among FBS quarterbacks with 826
yards rushing and 15 rushing touchdowns. The Sooners fill a huge void at quarterback with the
departure of Jackson Arnold to Auburn and Mateer having two years of eligibility remaining.

Carson Beck-Miami

2024 Stats (Georgia): 290/448 65%, 3,485 yds, 28 TDs, 12 INTs

Carson Beck spent two years as Stetson Bennett’s backup on back-to-back national championship teams
at Georgia. As a two-year starter, Beck led the Bulldogs to a 24-3 record, a 2024 SEC championship, and
a CFP birth. An elbow injury suffered in the SEC championship ended his season early requiring surgery.
He originally declared for the NFL draft, but after consideration decided to transfer to Miami. Beck will
step right in as the Hurricane sign caller, as Cam Ward is off to the NFL. He likely made the right choice
to return to college and make NFL-like money in Miami while rehabbing his elbow.
