Pissed Off Mike: FSU Fan’s Insufferable

After today’s loss, Florida State fans have become even more insufferable

Football season is here so no reason to be angry right? Wrong. Pissed Off Mike is back, get ready for a long season.

What has me pissed off today? Florida State fans.

Yes, Florida State got screwed last season. I didn’t want to see them in the playoff with a third-string QB either but an undefeated Power Five conference champ should make the playoff. And it was clear ESPN pushed them out of the playoff for SEC darling Alabama for TV ratings and national interest. It was a bad deal.

But here’s where they lost me. FSU fans blamed everyone. They blamed their conference and the dumb deal they signed TWICE that has left their program behind many in the SEC and Big Ten when it comes to money and respect. They blamed an ex-commissioner who simply tricked them into signing two bad deals. And they blamed ESPN talking head Kirk Herbstreit who had no power and no say over who gets in. And they kept blaming and blaming until they became annoying.

Then they vowed to make Herbstreit’s life miserable and pointed to the Gameday appearance in Ireland where the Seminoles would face Georgia Tech. They waited and waited and spent countless dollars flying overseas to boo the man they blamed, the man who had nothing to do with any of it. The man whose life they made miserable online for no reason.

So they showed up and they booed and booed. And then their team lost to Georgia Tech despite being a 10.5 point favorite. And now they just look dumb.

FSU fans and their team got screwed, but the FSU team without Jordan Travis probably would have lost to Michigan by 24 points in the playoff anyhow. Then they became excessively annoying and now no one feels bad for them and many are basking in the Georgia Tech upset.

So to FSU fans, stay in your lane, stay in your conference as no one else wants you right now and focus on a 2024 season that is pretty much over already and could get embarrassing if they aren’t careful.
