We are in the thick of recruiting season. Prospects all around the
nation are taking visits, cutting down their list of suitors, and
ultimately committing to a school. Here we take a look at one certain prospect Tennessee needs to lockdown the most, and other priorities
for the Volunteers as they look to secure a couple of
cornerstone pieces this cycle.

Crown Jewel

QB George MacIntyre

– Brentwood Academy (Nashville, TN)

– Five-Star ranked 21st nationally

The biggest piece to the puzzle by far and the crown jewel of
the class would be quarterback George MacIntyre. The signal caller
out of the mid-state area committed to the Vols on January 22nd of
this year, and has been the main peer recruiter for the class ever
since. That has paid dividends as well as the Vols have already
secured other top-in-state talent such as DL Ethan Utley on defense
along with playmakers on his side to work with such as WR Radarious Jackson. As long as he keeps this up along with the staff,
the Volunteers should very well push for a top-ten class overall.

The biggest recruit left on the board is Mr. David Sanders Jr. out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Simply put, he is as dominant as they
come at the tackle position. He stands 6’6 weighing in at 290
pounds which is a little light, but his talent along with his play on
the field certainly makes up for it. He is strong, has long arms, and
has great technique to round it out. Sanders Jr. is also very nimble on his
feet which a lot of kids his size don’t have. It has been a tight race
between the Vols, Georgia, and Clemson just to name a few schools.

Sanders
was on campus not too long ago at the end of May during the “865
Live” event Tennessee held. He will be back this upcoming
weekend for his official visit in which George MacIntyre and Jaime Ffrench will also attend. If Tennessee does what they need to do, they can make some major leeway in his
recruitment and others.
