For a program to remain relevant, they must continuously find ways to enhance their product. And that is equally important off-the-field as it is on during game days on the field. South Carolina is taking a big step in that direction today with an announcement that will greatly help them during upcoming renovations at Williams-Brice Stadium.

First, a few details on what Blanchard Machinery is and does. Blanchard Machinery is “the South Carolina equipment solutions provider with an extensive selection of in-stock parts for a wide range of Cat® and non-Cat machines.” While the company began in Florida, that changed in the early 1980’s. “In 1982, seeing a promising opportunity for Caterpillar products in South Carolina, Bob Blanchard established Blanchard Machinery Company”

The company is currently run by two South Carolina graduates – President and CEO Boyd Blanchard and Executive Vice President Rozier Blanchard and is located in West Columbia.

It has already been known that Williams-Brice Stadium was set to begin renovations after the 2025 season. But with today’s news and upcoming press conference, more details will likely emerge.

Expect an expansion of suites, as an important source of additional revenue, plus improvements of restrooms and concessions. On top of that, two new video boards are planned for the south end zone.

Renovations are not expected to be completed until August, 2027
