As the weather transitions to warmth again, along with that comes
spring football. Everyone now gets a glance at their favorite team’s
roster, and potential to win games. That also comes with early
enrollees, whom can make plays themselves. Here I name my top
freshman who will make their name known coming out of spring
ball starting with the Atlantic Coast Conference.
1. WR Joshua Moore, Miami
The big, 6-foot-4 wideout out of West Broward High School (Fla.) can
do it all. Not only does he have freakish size, but he has the the
athleticism and hand-eye coordination to go along with it.
His deceptive speed and quickness with the type of frame he contains is the
biggest surprise. While he needs to get better at route running, I
believe he is too talented to keep off of the field, especially with the
departures the Hurricanes have had this offseason.

2. WR Jayvan Boggs, Florida State
To have more than 2,000 receiving yards and more than 20
touchdowns in one season at any level is a feat, but doing it in
Florida is even more mind blowing, given how the state is bred with
talent all over. That is exactly what Boggs did this past year
as a senior. The wideout from Cocoa, Fla. has been great his
entire career to be frank. With the need of playmakers on the
offensive side of the ball, I see him making his name known quickly
for the Seminoles.

3. RB JP Powell, Georgia Tech
I could have went with Josh Petty here, whom is not only
one of the best offensive tackles, but one of the top players in the
nation period. With that being said, I think there is a another guy
who will also burst onto the scene. That would be Powell, who
has exceptional ability with the ball in his hands. He has great vision
along with explosiveness that jumps off of the film. While he may
not start, I believe he will definitely carve out a role in the running
back room.
The Early Signing Period was a big one across the Big Bend and South Georgia.

4. DL Amare Adams, Clemson
The top ranked player on the entire list decided to take his
talents to Death Valley and play for the Clemson Tigers. Adams simply wreaks havoc on any opponent he goes against. He is
strong as an ox, but can also move with great quickness at his size,
which is abnormal. Once he diagnoses the play he wastes no time
getting to the backfield. Dabo Swinney has even been on record
already raving about his freakish athletic ability, which should tell
you something.

5. Edge Bryce Davis, Duke
With virtually every school in the country recruiting him, Davis had the choice to choose anywhere to take his talents,
but he ended up picking the Blue Devils. That may be a head
scratcher to a lot of folks, but that won’t matter much. He is that
talented. His senior year he put up video game numbers racking up
125 tackles (37 tackles for loss) along with 27 sacks to lead his Grimsley team
to the North Carolina 4A Championship. While college is much more
challenging, I see him terrorizing backfields the same way he did in
high school.
