The best thing for college football? Deion Sanders. But some think he’s the worst thing as well. Here’s your dose of Daily Deion.
Disclaimer: I have always been a fan of Deion Sanders. Loved him as a player at FSU, in Atlanta and Dallas, and even respected him as a 49er against my Cowboys.
Can we just win like a regular team? Colorado had to scrape out a win against a depleted 1-4 Arizona State football team they were favored to beat and Deion’s son Shadeur is acting a fool. Flashing his dumb expensive watch to the Arizona State student section to taunt them after beating their fifth-string QB? It’s getting dumb. And his comments after the game?
“They simply left too much time on the clock. You know what mode we went- we went Brady mode. That’s legendary mode.”
Tom Brady mode? Legendary mode? Arizona State is now 1-5 and has suffered a slew of injuries. This would be like Brady bragging about a win over the Buffalo Bills in most given years (he was 33-3 against the Bills). When you’re expected to win the game, win the game. When it’s closer than many expect, just simply praise the other team or mention what you can work on to get better. Obviously, Shedeur his team could have played better and his stat line of 26-42 for 239 yards with a touchdown and no picks isn’t spectacular. So can we just stop flashing the dumb watch and mentioning Tom Brady and the word legendary after what was a very average win?
