Travis Hunter is a Heisman Trophy winner and a likely top five pick in this spring’s NFL Draft. On Friday night, during an awkward celebration, Hunter narrowly missed getting injured.
Hunter attended the Polynesian Bowl, which is a high school All-Star game in Hawaii. Following a touchdown by five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, who is signed with Oregon, a celebration between the two turned unnecessarily dangerous:

Both Hunter and Moore avoided injury, which is amazing considering the fall Moore took. Just as NFL general managers and head coaches cringed watching Hunter during this celebration, Oregon’s reaction must’ve been one of shock and then complete relief when their star receiver looked unscathed.
For Hunter, this is a good lesson of why he should basically protect himself with bubble wrap for the next couple of months. His future is so very close to being solidified, so any chances he takes, no matter how minimal, are ones that aren’t necessary.

Let’s hope we don’t see him participating in anymore celebrations in the coming weeks.
