There are plenty of advantages of having spring practices, but one huge disadvantage are the threat of injuries. That became a reality in Bloomington when Indiana wide receiver Tyler Morris, who was a January transfer from Michigan, saw his 2025 season ended before it began.

Tyler enjoyed his best collegiate season in 2024 with 23 receptions for 248 yards and two touchdowns. Overall, he totaled 39 receptions for 470 yards and three touchdowns during his three seasons with the Wolverines.
This is a substantial loss for the Hoosiers, as Tyler was looked at as one of the replacements for the graduated receiver trio of Miles Cross, Myles Price and Ke’Shawn Williams. However, with the spring transfer portal window opening in two weeks, head coach Curt Cignetti will have the opportunity to add depth and talent at the position.
